Out Of This Worlds Best Tips For Your Chromebook

Recently Te Ngahere has been re-learning the kawa of care. I learned how important following the kawa of care is. Following the kawa of care is so important because if you accidently break your chromebook you may get insurance but if you break the kawa of care rules then you won’t. Something I will improve is stay on task and remember to use the kawa of care now and in the future. If you want to learn more here is my D.L.O. Have you learned about the kawa of care? Ka Kite.

Beginners Guide: Te Reo

Kia ora, Welcome back to my blog. Our class has learned to write simple sentences in Maori. We were learning to pronounce Maori words properly. I like learning Te Reo Maori as it helps me to connect more with my culture. We wrote sentences about what sports you can play on the sports field. I had an awesome time learning different sports you can play on the field in Maori. I learnt the Maori word for rugby is whutupaoro. I also learnt the Maori word for soccer is poikiri. Something I could do better next time is to remember the Maori vowels. Do you speak Maori? Here is my screencastify. Ka Kite.

Movie Making

In Te Ngahere we have been working on short films for a film festival. Our films have to be 3 minutes long. We had different categories to pick what we wanted our movie to be about such as action, comedy, educational, sport, adverts, music, game shows, etc. Our films have to be suitable for juniors to watch. I love the role I am in our film because I get to be a mean girl. One of our films will be selected to go to the film festival which was held at the Cathay Cinemas in KeriKeri. I am so excited and very confident to be able to partake in a movie that might be sent to the Cathay Cinemas in Kerikeri. People will also be selected to go watch the films but if they were unlucky to go they can see the movie at the cinemas. Have you made a film to go to the film festival before? Here are 6 camera angle shots. Ka kite!

What I Learnt From The Wonder Project

Kia ora bloggers, Last week on Wednesday Gustavo and Troy came to Paihia School. Gustavo and Troy are both scientists. They explained a bit about themselves. After Gustavo explained a bit about himself Whaea Shanna sent us off to work on a slide show. We had to choose two career roles and explain what they do, I chose a biologist and a mathematician. Did you know a biologist researches living organisms? I chose mathematician as one of my career roles because I love math. If you want to learn more about these 2 subjects here is my slideshow. What would you choose for your 2 career roles? I hope you liked my blog post.

Netball Accomplished

Kia ora, On Saturday the 24th of July Paihia Blues had a netball game. I am in their team and we played against Kerikeri High School Rimu. We practise every Thursday and we get better and better every time we practise. I was goalkeeper and defence. I was told I am an awesome defence player hence why I am either defence or goalkeeper. I love being in the circle. What I think I need to work on is to pay attention at all times. On the court I get distracted by watching other netball teams play. This was our first real game and we won 16/09. I love netball, it is one of my passions. It is my second year playing netball and I really enjoy it. I hope I get more opportunities to play netball. Do you play netball or do you play any sport? If you play a sport let me know what sport you play in the comment section below. I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

Tidy Numbers

Kia ora, mihi nui kia koe. In Te Ngahere we have been doing math, for math we have been re-learning tidy numbers. We had different equations we had to figure out. I struggled a little bit doing this activity because of the holidays but I started to remember how to round numbers. What I learnt is if you learn how to round numbers it could help at the store whenever buying groceries. Whaea Chrissy taught us an easy strategy to use and it helped me and my group to figure out the equations. This also helped me with my multiplication as they are multiplication questions. Something I could do better next time is stay focused more because we talk off topic and not about work sometimes. Have you rounded numbers or are you learning how to round numbers? Here is a DLO I put together for examples. I hope you enjoyed.

Te Ngahere Version Of Tik Tok

Kia ora koutou, Mihi nui kia koe. In this blog post I am going to be talking about our assembly and what we did for it. Read on and you’ll find out what we did and watch the video because you will be amazed if you watch the video. Last week for our assembly we did tik toks. We did 2 tik toks and we made them into a huge routine. I had heaps of fun and appreciate the 2 girls who taught us the tik tok dances and also the teachers who approved on letting us do them. I am sure heaps of people had fun as I did and I am positive heaps of people enjoyed watching us do them. I wish we got another opportunity to do something as fun. I learnt a new tik tok dance and it was fun learning it. We changed bits of the dance to make it more suitable for the children at our school. Something I could do better next time is to keep on beat. Here is the video. Hope you enjoyed.
