Scams and Phishing?

Kia ora in Te Ngahere we have been learning about phishing scams. These are when you get emails that ask for personal information, or when you get emails saying you won a ps5, which is obviously not going to happen. There are also sites that are bad to go on and can see your personal information. For example, if you go on a site there's always a lock in the top left corner where the url goes and sometimes there is a red line across it. If you happen come across a website like this it is a website where the owner of it is trying to steal your personal information. If you have to sign into a Google account and you type your password in they can actually see your password and access your Google account. Something I learnt from this is to always check the lock and to keep my information personal. Something you could do if you do share your information is to tell the owner of your chromebooks like your teacher or parents. If you want to learn more about this please check out my D.L.O below. Thank you. Have a great day. Bye!
