100 Word Story #3

This is my 3rd 100 word story. It was the strangest thing. She turned and it disappeared. Her interest got the best of her, away in the woods she went one step at a time. Noises all around branches snapping smells getting stronger. What did she see in the distance? A hidden door she was bound to explore. Walking closer than she went in slowly. No light was shown and the smells got worse. The door shut and before she could reach it, ‘clink’ it locked. A strange man stood above her and disappeared slowly. Could this be a dream? she said as she closed her eyes... This photo is from https://www.pobble365.com/the-ghostly-shadow.

100 Word Story

This is my 2nd 100 word story. Every night he had the same dream. Every night he was stuck in the same cycle, doing the same thing, night after night. “What could it be?” he asked himself mysteriously. But again as he rested he had the same dream. It was cryptic and he couldn’t understand what was happening but he kept on doing the same thing. Once he had awoken from his sleep in the dense morning night while it was thundering the strangest thing had happened. When we went back to bed he had a different dream as if it was magical. It was so astonishing. This photo was from https://www.pobble365.com/on-repeat-2

100 Word Story

In Te Ngahere we have been doing 100 word stories. This is my first 100 word story. Emily went for a walk in the woods, rustling leaves beneath her feet. Emily felt quite cold until she felt a nervous shock up her back. She saw something and instantly dropped to the ground unhesitant with fascination to pick up an unknown but shiny looking rock. It glowed shiny like a crystal. “It must be magic…” She muttered excitedly under her breath. “It must be.” She clenched her hands and inched slowly towards an oak tree. Just as she creeped towards the oak tree she yelled “Ohh No” as she held out her empty hand and stood in shock. Photo is from https://www.pobble365.com/it-must-be-magic.

Tips And Tricks About Mood And Atmosphere

Kia ora bloggers in Te Ngahere we have been learning about Mood and atmosphere. Mood is another word for atmosphere of a piece of writing, I learnt that the mood is the feeling that the writer is trying to give their readers. I enjoy learning new things because it helps me to enhance my abilities. This will help me in the future because I will understand what mood and atmosphere means and what it does. Here is a google slide explaining what language features we were trying to find. Have you learnt about mood and atmosphere? I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post. Ka kIte!

Tiring Athletics

Kia ora bloggers, in Te Ngahere we have been practising for athletics. We have groups and I am in group 4. We practise on Fridays and Wednesdays and we rotate so each group has a turn at each game such as high jump, long jump, discus etc. I recently did relays with Whaea Roni. What I learnt from relays is that the person receiving the baton starts jogging before he/she receives it because it gives you more of an opportunity to win the race. Another good strategy for running is to put the best runner last. The second best runner should run first because this also gives you a higher chance of winning the race. I enjoy doing athletics and I can’t wait till the actual day comes. We didn’t take any photos but here is a photo off the internet. I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Ka kite!
