Hi bloggers this is my (second or third) kapa haka blog post. This week the kapa haka roopu has been practising for another culture festival. This time we are going to Kaikohe in week nine. We have been working really hard. We also have been learning how to drag notes at the end of every waiata and when to breath so we can hit the notes. One of our kapa haka tutors said that we have to emphasize our mouths so we pronounce our kupu properly. I have found it hard to open my mouth and sing so from now on I am going to try and emphasize my mouth a lot more because sometimes I go flat while doing our first waiata.
