Maths

Date:08/05/19 In Te Ngahere we have been learning basic facts. We have
been learning our basic facts to make it easier when I get up to stage 6 and 7.
I have achieved my 11, 10, 2 and my 5 times table. I have been learning my 4 times tables
and going to try my best to learn all of them by tomorrow because I only have to learn 4x12, 4x9 and 4x7.
When I get tested I am going to try and know them within three seconds.

Date:09/05/19 I have now learnt my 4 times tables and now I have to
learn my 3 times tables. I am going to try really hard on these. I think they won’t be as
challenging as my 4’s but I think my 12 x 3 is going to be the hardest when I get tested.

In Te Ngahere and Nga motu we have been doing mothers day cards. Mothers day is this coming Sunday. i am so exited. I have a card and a treat I cant wait to see there reaction.

In Te Ngahere we have been researching about Nukutawhiti, Kupe, James cook and Able Tasman. we got to choose who we wanted to research about. My group choose Kupe because we thought he had to most interesting info. Here are some photos of all of them.

Sea Cleaners

On Tuesday the 12th of March Tracy came to our School. Tracy is a sea cleaner, she cleans the sea. If there is a lot of rubbish in the ocean then the sea creatures will die. There is a lot of plastic in the ocean. Plastic is the main thing that kills sea animals or the sea life. It was really cool listening about the sea life. I like sea animals and every other animal. Sea life is really important. We asked a lot of questions. The question I liked the most was, what do you find in the ocean. She answered all of our questions.

Rocky shore

At the start of term 2 we created a google drawing about our rocky shore with Nga Motu. We were comparing it to another rocky shore.We had to write things down on our google drawing that we thought was in a rocky shore. Then we had to show the teacher.We had a lot of things on our rocky shore we shouldn't of had. We went down to the rock pools to find some interesting stuff but we didn’t find many interesting stuff.

Math's goals

Our WALT was to  Set New math's goals. In the start of term 2 we all created our own math's goals. It had the goals that we haven’t achieved from last term.We wrote them on a piece of paper first then we put it on to a google drawing.  We well I had to check it over and over again. I had to fix it up a lot. It was really hard to recheck my math's goals.I had to put some examples of the math's goals on my google drawing. After it was all over I had to take it to the teacher to check again. When she had checked it she printed it out for us.
